Captain:
Mark has worked aboard Forever Young since November 1997. Prior to this he was owner operator of a day sail business in Bermuda. Mark has been living aboard a boat since he was 17 and has been working on the water primarily in the tour boat business as Captain since he was 18.
Mark holds a R.Y.A./M.C.A. Yachtmaster Ocean licence with a commercial endorsement and has around 60,000 miles of offshore sailing experience including the Atlantic, Caribbean , Mediterranean and now, the Pacific.
"Captain Mark Soares has treated "Forever Young" as a fine jewel (maybe the pearl from the Oyster!!). So much so that I can say with absolute certainty the each successive Oyster has been traded in far better condition than when they came into my possession. Mark has made all of his guests and visitors feel more than welcome, and his sailing, as well as his cooking, skills are legend."

Crew:
Sean joined Forever Young on a full time basis in Panama on March the first of this year. Prior to joining, Sean has done many crossings including three crossings aboard the 56' Forever Young one of which was the Atlantic crossing from the Canaries to St. Lucia in 2002. At this point he has accumulated about 10,000 sea miles. Sean has spent most of his life on or around the water and boats. Prior to joining the boat he had his own boat maintenance business in Bermuda.
Update: At the beginning of December, 2004 Sean left the boat to pursue his Captain certification in New Zealand. Both Mark and Brian thank him for his attention to detail, and efforts on board. Sean's sense of humour will also be greatly missed.
Thanks, Sean, and bon voyage.
Welcome, Blair: In mid-January, Blair Neal joined Mark to crew Forever Young. Blair has an engineering degree, but has determined to see the world. He spent last season in the Whitsundays (Great Barrier Reef), Australia, on board an 83 footer "Mia Mia". He is a most industrious New Zealander (Kiwi), and has filled his role and responsibilities with enthusiasm, and with perfection and pride.
